Looking for a beautiful long dress to twirl around in all summer? Look no further, here's Cuba Libre ! The panel skirt construction provides a perfect drape without excess volume, and the elasticated back means you don't have to sew a side zip... Easy to sew and divine to wear, the Cuba Libre dress is available in an open back version for wild evenings or a closed back to be the most elegant barefoot by the water. With its pretty butterfly sleeves, V-neckline and beautiful long skirt, it's irresistible, isn't it?!

For this version of the dress, the quantity of fabric is different because the shell lace has a particular direction. The positioning will be done with the fabric at the fold, on a height of 1m40 and the quantities of fabric are: 2m80 in 34-36, 3m in 38-44 and 3m30 in 46-52. The dress is well lined on the skirt and the front bust, following the information mentioned in the brochure (assembly range and quantity of fabric for the lining, everything is explained). The lining was cut in our cotton voile. Find the cutting plan in product photo or in the article here .

Sewing level : INTERMEDIATE , the technical points are sewing a V-neckline, making gathers, sewing set-in sleeves and installing elastic.

The Cuba Libre pattern is available in sizes 34 to 52.

Supplies

• Fabrics in 140 cm width:

34-36: 230cm, 38-42: 250cm, 44-48: 280cm, 50-52: 300cm

• 40 cm iron-on G710

• A 2 cm wide elastic (quantity of elastic indicated in the finished garment measurement table also visible in image 4 of the product sheet, according to your gradation size)

• Lined version: quantity of lining fabric in 140 cm width for the skirt and the front bust (as is the case for the dress presented in Berlingot striped fabric)

34-36: 200 cm, 38-42: 220 cm , 44-48: 240 cm, 50-52: 250 cm

Fabric selection: only woven fabrics. I recommend a fabric with a soft drape that drapes beautifully: twill, crepe, or viscose poplin, a fine jacquard, or even a beautiful lace, fabrics weighing 90 to 250g/m2 depending on the desired finish.

If you want to line your dress, we recommend cotton voile . This is the case for the Berlingot striped fabric version.
