Gypset Look: The Bohemian Lace Cuba Libre Dress

For this version of the dress, the amount of fabric is different because the scallop lace has a specific direction. Positioning will be with the fabric on the fold, over a height of 1m40, and the fabric quantities are: 2m80 for sizes 34-36, 3m for sizes 38-44, and 3m30 for sizes 46-52. The dress is fully lined on the skirt and front bust, following the information mentioned in the brochure (assembly range and fabric quantity for the lining, everything is explained). The lining was cut from our cotton voile. Find the cutting plan in the product photo or in the article here.

Sewing level: INTERMEDIATE, the technical points are sewing a V-neckline, creating gathers, sewing set-in sleeves, and attaching elastic.

Fabric in 140 cm width: 34-36: 230 cm, 38-42: 250 cm, 44-48: 280 cm, 50-52: 300 cm
40 cm fusible interfacing G710
2 cm wide elastic (quantity of elastic indicated in the finished garment measurement chart also visible in image 4 of the product sheet, according to your grading size)

Lined version: quantity of lining fabric in 140 cm width for the skirt and front bodice (as is the case for the dress shown in Berlingot striped fabric)

Fabric choice

Woven fabrics only. I recommend a fabric with a soft drape, which hangs nicely: a twill, a crepe or a viscose poplin, a fine jacquard, or a beautiful lace, fabrics weighing 90 to 250g/m2 depending on the desired effect.

If you want to line your dress, we recommend cotton voile. This is the case for the Berlingot stripe fabric version.
