Top Santa Fe, asymmetry is life! The video tutorial

Hello! After this long weekend I am back to offer you a new step-by-step video: the Santa Fe top. This pretty pattern (available here in pdf and here in envelope ) allows you to sew several versions: a top tied at the shoulder, an asymmetrical top with a collar, and a simple little top with just the detail of the asymmetry that twists the look. It is the version with a knot on the shoulder that I present to you in video (to mount a collar on a top/blouse neckline, do not hesitate to watch the assembly video of the beautiful Dahlia blouse here ). Santa Fé is a rather accessible sewing pattern, quick to sew, and whose asymmetry is not "radical" because the 2 shoulders are covered. It is one of my favorite models from the SEW ME PAMPA collection, I wore it a lot last summer. And re-sewing the pattern for the video was the perfect excuse to treat myself to a new beloved top ;)

And many of you have asked me if it is possible not to line the top to use less fabric. I took advantage of the tutorial to show you how to trace a facing from the pattern, so you will have the choice of lining your top or not!

I chose this Make my lemonade fabric with a very present pattern, but the black and white purifies the whole thing. I don't know if I would have worn this print on a larger piece like a long dress (I hesitated a lot to sew Tamara in it), but I can tell you that as a top with jeans I really like it! The advantage of this fabric is that it doesn't require a lining, so it's perfect for this version with facing! Here we go, follow me in the step-by-step video of the Santa Fe top with a knot on the shoulder and the explanation of the tracing of the facing (spoiler alert...there will be the "baguette-straw" technique as a guest :) )
