Pompon addict! 4 ways to wear your new cardigan

It's been almost 15 days since we launched the big Pompon sewing challenge , and it's a joy to see your first creations around our pretty free vest pattern. Pompon has everything to become a must-have in your wardrobe, because the suit vest is a versatile piece that will follow your style desires. Discover the 4 looks that I built around the Pompon vest , with accessorizing suggestions and my fashion inspirations.

Cool business look

Here Pompon is considered in the first degree, inspiration working girl in pumps. Sewn in a soft tailored wool , this ensemble is elegant and comfortable. To break the very formal silhouette, I slipped a white cotton tank top under my cardigan, and accessorized with a silver necklace with large links. The outfit then becomes more interesting, less strict. I wear it with the Tigris coat in black wool, which has a crazy look and a line totally in keeping with this look. I really like combining navy blue and black: in beautiful materials, this combination brings relief.

Spring look

In ecru Lily viscose jacquard , with its satiny floral patterns, Pompon is adorable. But it could easily fall into formal wear and that's not the idea at all. So I chose to shake up my beautiful cardigan with a more everyday, spring-like outfit: slightly wide-legged high-waisted jeans, pretty bright red sandals and a Dandelion jacket perfect for mid-season. The fabrics remain in the same tone (Ink blue, white, ecru, denim blue) and the shoes bring a colorful and joyful touch.

Bohemian look

Change of mood, I'm going to a concert ;) Here the outfit navigates between rock, bohemian and dandy, with an assumed muse: Kate Moss and her worked coolness. I chose for this outfit my Pompon in Jazz jacquard, over the white tied Skyline shirt , with old denim shorts and suede ankle boots. We no longer have at Maison Fauve the cappuccino houndstooth fabric and the pretty white jacquard of the shirt, but our new tartan wool will be perfect for a Pompon in this slightly grunge spirit, and a Skyline in Lily jacquard would be beautiful.

For accessories, I opted for a polka-dotted silk scarf with fringes, which perfectly matches the faux-nonchalance of the ensemble. I finished my outfit with my Pam gabardine coat (because the weather isn't always good at English rock festivals, haha).

Black look for big evenings

For this last outfit I revisit the tuxedo, in all-over black of absolute elegance: black Onyx Pompon vest with the light gold Poppy buttons turned back , Metropolis jacket and jewel buttons , supple Brooklyn pants , the buttons bring rhythm to the silhouette. I opted for sparkling and colorful sandals that are revealed when I walk, and on the accessories side I pay homage to Coco with a beautiful vintage Chanel two-tone pearl necklace and camellia brooch also signed Chanel. The Metropolis jacket with its absence of collar and its box shape plays the same couture score.

And to go further with the Pompon boss

I loved creating these different looks, based on my "little collection" of Pompon. But there are so many other pretty avenues to explore for a Pompon look that suits you: using colorful jacquards , embroidered fabrics, or even making your own embroidery and patch applications. Another pretty inspiration is the vitamin-packed suit look: a color block outfit will look great, and you can then mix and match your pieces.
