My Red Passion sewing
Say it with flowers
As a negligee, I chose to sew the Paola sewing pattern in our Jardin Fauve viscose poplin, and it's a marvel! Paola's dancing allure and magnificent back neckline go very well with this soft and supple fabric. As beautiful to wear as a dress during the summer as as a nightie, the Paola dress is a little gem.
Flamboyant lace
Speaking of nighties, how can you not fall for the Blush dress in our Cherry Red lace ! I love the clean cut of the Blush slip dress pattern because it allows you to emphasize the fabric. For this very glamorous version, I lengthened the pattern by 20 cm, and I created a slit in the side seam. I did not line my garment, and I kept the construction as indicated by the pattern, with a clean front neckline. However, I skipped the iron- on for cleanliness because the lace is openwork. This Blush dress is sexy as hell, and I can already imagine making the camisole version of the pattern in another lace like our beautiful ecru lace , totally in the tone of the tops/underwear.
Elegance in High Flight
This pretty dress from our La Piscine collection is not as prim as it seems... Its very pretty line, the prim cut on the neckline, the suppleness of the gathered bust, the Haut Vol dress is very elegant and will be the perfect outfit for Valentine.
Haut Vol loves soft fabrics that drape well. Sewn in Cherry Red, it does not go unnoticed. The fabric is no longer available in this color, but the pattern will lend itself to all the variations of our beautiful plain viscose twills: in bright Fizz Yellow , Shocking Pink , Cobalt Blue , color blocking is a safe bet for this model.
My Valentine's Day sewing in white
Sweetness in Lily
My beautiful Pompon in Lily Ecru jacquard deserved a new sewing project to keep it company. I chose to sew the skirt version proposed in the Pénélope dress pattern: a pretty trapeze, wrap skirt, quick to sew and that goes with everything!
There is something in this total white look that is both charming and very feminine: the suppleness of the viscose jacquard brings lightness, the combination of the skirt and the cardigan to something a little retro, very pretty lady. To overcome any transparency concerns, I slipped underneath a Blush dress sewn in ourwhite cotton voile . Falsely naive, this ensemble will be as beautiful warmed up under a pretty knit as for chic evenings this summer!
I loved revisiting the Maison Fauve wardrobe to offer you 4 perfect looks for Valentine's Day . These different clothes gave rise to a photoshoot, with lots of accessories and a glamour-themed makeover, but I already know that each of these outfits will give rise to other looks, other ways of wearing my clothes, and will not be limited to a single occasion. In addition, my little finger told me that we have a nice surprise for you, which will be revealed on February 14th... See you soon!
