Zenith and Blush...blue mood
Good morning!
Ahlalaaa thank you thank you, what a welcome for the Blush pattern! I suspected that this dress/camisole pattern would meet a need, because it's a piece that was missing in my own wardrobe, but I didn't think it would seduce you so much! And I can't wait to see under which wonderful sewing projects you will slip it :) Creating BLUSH was for me the opportunity to sew (finally!!!) this incredible fabric bought at Pretty Mercerie : a superb blue lace with very refined patterns, but also very openwork. I wanted to make a dress out of it, and it will have contributed to me looking more seriously at this story of the slip. Because as much as I wear without complex (and with the right underwear) very openwork blouses and tops, as for the dress... the visible bra/panties combo is a marvel on the models of the haute couture shows, but on me, and on a daily basis, it is clearly not possible! Lining the Zenith dress was tedious, and I wanted a pleasant outfit for the summer, not to suffocate under layers of fabric. The slip is sewn in the navy viscose crepe from Eglantine et Zoé , the perfect color to match my dress. And the transparency that reveals the bottom of the dress is interesting: we can see the cut of the bodice, we keep the transparency on the bottom of the skirt...it's feminine but not excessively, I like it a lot! The result is a very dressy outfit, especially with high heels. But with flat sandals, a little messy bun and a summer bag, I think it's a completely wearable outfit for everyday use. And you, have you ever almost fallen for a fabric without daring to buy it for fear of its transparency? Do you like embroidered fabrics, busy, all over on a large piece like a dress or a long skirt? Tell me everything ;) and have a nice day!
