The mystery partner is revealed! Meet Julie!

Hello Hello!

A few days ago, Emilie made a story in which she mentioned for the first time the existence of her partner... And today I'm here to introduce myself!

Who am I?

Well, I'm Julie, 30 years old (31 in a few days :( ), I also come from the south of France, in the Gard, between Nîmes and Montpellier, I was born there, I grew up there and I currently live there!

I am the mother of two adorable little girls, by the way you already know Zoé, who played the model in Miss Zenith .

My journey

I have a Master 2 in Management Sciences, and I have always loved Business. When I was little, I dreamed of working in an office, why do that? Very good question, but in the movies, people who work at the top of office towers seem to have an important job! Growing up, it turned out that I was gifted for maths and economic sciences (BAC ES baby ;) ), that's how I joined the University of Montpellier to learn business management. The ultimate ambition being to work in a business district like La Défense in Paris, the City in London or even better, in Manhattan in NY; for the evening, to sip cocktails in trendy bars with my girlfriends of love (special dedication to you Bubu ;) )

5 years later, having come down from my cloud, I now know that big cities are very nice... for holidays! On a daily basis, the south of France will be perfect! So I started my career as an advisor in innovative business creation, in an incubator . Ah, I feel like I'm losing you there.... To put it simply, I worked in a public structure that helps business creators to get started, by advising them and putting together financing applications.

A job in which I flourished for 9 years, and which I left on Friday June 12, with tears in my eyes!

The meeting that changed my life

You guessed it, I'm talking about Emilie! In 2019, I was questioning myself a lot about my professional development. I had looked around at my position, and the structure in which I worked did not allow me to evolve. So I decided to change positions, and I started applying here and there. The problem: I was looking for a job that did not exist on Pôle Emploi, nor on le bon coin: right arm!

And one day, in September 2019, Emilie arrives in my office, with her 4 years of thrilling adventures in sewing patterns, and explains to me everything she needs to grow her business. And there, listening to her wish list for Santa, it goes Boom in my head: but.. is it me she's looking for?!

So I took my courage in both hands to tell him, just like that, out of nowhere: "I'm going to put down my advisor's hat, to speak on my behalf: I would love to work with you! What you're telling me there makes me really want to!"

I expected to get a dubious pout, but not at all! She let out a big sigh of relief and smiled at me! It was love at first sight! In a movie, there would have been a little romantic music as well...

So it was little by little that we got to know each other to work together, in my free time, until we decided to join forces at the end of 2019. You know the rest!

Concretely, Emilie remains the brains of the team. Maison Fauve creations remain Emilie Faurie creations. She is the creative, the pencil, the drawings, the imagination. And I am the execution, the daily life, the tables, the figures. In short, a dynamic duo!

Sewing and me

Well, in 2019, my sewing level was limited to knowing how to sew a button by hand!

But after having immersed myself in sewing patterns with Emilie for some time, I had to get started!

So I borrowed a friend's machine (Thanks Pauline :) ) and I started with the Sirocco Top ! And as if by magic, I, Julie, had created a top! Well, an ugly top, because it was a big first! Then I was impatient, so I didn't dwell on the finishing touches, and since I hadn't made any toile, it was a bit big at the neckline.

I made a second one, which was better; And there, really hot, I said to myself go on, make a Miss Violette. Same, the first one is pretty, but in the back the high yokes do not cross, impossible to make the buttonhole. I think I missed something...
I make a second one and hey presto, it's perfect!

This is how I chained successes and failures with

And now that I've tasted it, I think I can say that I've become a sewing addict in turn ;)

And there you have it, you know who I am, don't hesitate to follow me on Insta to see my progress as a beginner seamstress!
