Natural High: Introducing and FAQ for the new Maison Fauve Spring-Summer 2026 Collection

The new Maison Fauve Spring-Summer 2026 collection, titled Natural High, celebrates a free, instinctive, and intensely vibrant femininity. Maison Fauve draws you into a gentle euphoria, carried by the atmosphere of the 90s, blending romance with grunge attitude.

The Maison Fauve Woman has nothing to prove: she is free, sensual, strong, imbued with a Natural High.

A retro blouse with pleated puff sleeves worn with slightly loose jeans, a rebellious Perfecto jacket thrown over a sensual long dress, or even a masculine shirt with revisited proportions
Each piece is designed as an essential, to be worn in endless variations, together or separately.

Maison Fauve's New Sewing Patterns

For this Spring-Summer 2026 season, Maison Fauve unveils five new sewing patterns for a handmade wardrobe that blends easy-to-sew and easy-to-wear pieces with highly desirable master pieces.

Natural High Collection Patterns

  • Doll Blouse – a feminine blouse with pleated puff sleeves and a delicately retro look, a sweet treat to sew. View pattern

  • Misfit Perfecto Jacket – THE Perfecto, with perfect signature details, to proudly declare "I made it myself"! View pattern

  • Linger Dress – a sensual and fluid long dress that, despite its apparent simplicity, reveals a divine cut and enhances the silhouette. View pattern

  • Almost Shirt – the revisited masculine shirt, very comfortable to wear and easy to sew. View pattern

  • Worn Jeans – relaxed style jeans, straight cut, slightly lowered waist, like 90s 501s. View pattern

The season's wardrobe plays on contrast: a soft yet powerful clash between feminine and sensual pieces, and more relaxed, almost androynous garments.

The Collection's New Fabrics

Materials play an essential role in the collection's identity. Between color saturation and evocative prints, the fabrics convey that state where everything feels more intense.

The Ghost Flower Print

The new signature print of the season, Ghost Flower, revisits romantic florals with a grunge energy. The flowers appear like a diffuse memory, sometimes faded, almost ghostly. Available in several colors: Red, Grey, Orange, Green, Mauve

This print is also available on Maison Fauve's new printed cotton gabardine. Available in the same colors: Red, Grey, Orange, Green, Mauve

New Materials and Colors

The Spring-Summer 2026 collection highlights carefully selected textiles.

New fabrics:

Plum floral jacquard Deep Roses

Plain viscose twill: Magenta, Topaz Orange, Plum, Black

FAQ – Maison Fauve Natural High Collection

Pattern FAQ

Can I adapt the patterns to my body shape?

All patterns include shortening/lengthening lines to adjust the garment to your height. Discover the garments worn by Emilie, Vanina, and Déborah in the various product visuals and in the collection's lookbook. Emilie wears tops, blouses, dresses, and Perfecto jackets in size 36, and the Worn jeans in size 34.
Déborah wears the entire collection in size 36, and Vanina wears blouses, tops, the Perfecto jacket, and jeans in size 50. She wears the Linger dress in size 50/52 from the hips.

The size choice for each model was made according to the measurement chart and their usual retail size. For specific adjustments, we provide support with our free custom sewing guide.

Can I lengthen the Doll blouse or the Almost shirt into a dress?

You can easily lengthen these patterns into a dress by following the instructions given, for example, in the Cicadella blouse hack lengthened into a dress.

Can I make a top version of the Linger dress?

This seems theoretically possible although we have not tested it. The pattern includes a line to indicate the waistline. You will need to take this into account to determine the length of your future top. In any case, we recommend keeping the invisible zipper as the garment's cut is fitted on the bust.

Is it mandatory to line the Misfit Perfecto jacket?

No, it is not mandatory. We guide you in sewing an unlined jacket with seam allowances finished with bias tape in a dedicated tutorial using another Maison Fauve pattern.

Is it mandatory to make the zippered sleeve gussets/zippered welt pockets on the Misfit Perfecto jacket?

Zippered welt pockets are not mandatory. You can easily sew a jacket without including the pockets. You can also choose to make a welt pocket without a zipper by skipping its insertion during the assembly steps. For the sleeve hem, the presence of the gusset is included in the pattern. Removing it requires you to adjust the pattern for the bottom of the fabric and lining sleeve.

Can I easily add sleeves to the Linger dress?

No, that is not possible. The armhole, strap position, and back neckline gap are absolutely not suitable for adding a sleeve.

Can I easily lengthen the sleeve of the Almost shirt?

You can vary the sleeve length a little, but for a long-sleeved version, trials will be necessary for a harmonious fit.

How is the new Worn jeans cut? What's the difference from other Maison Fauve jeans?

The Worn Jeans have a straight cut and a lower waistline than other Maison Fauve jeans. The cut recalls the iconic 90s 501s. If we compare this pattern with other Maison Fauve jeans models:

  • The Andrea jeans feature an invisible side zipper, a barrel cut, quite ample on the thigh, and it reaches the ankle.

  • The Hussard jeans have a high waist, a fly, are very fitted at the hips, flared at the thigh, and tighten at the ankle.

  • The Ronsard jeans have a high waist, hug the hips, and the leg is very wide; it's a wide-leg cut.

All patterns include a finished garment measurement chart. The front/back crotch height is indicated. The same applies to the leg width and hip circumference. Regarding other Maison Fauve trouser patterns, the cuts are very different and not comparable to that of the new Worn jeans pattern.

Fabric FAQ

Are the printed cotton gabardines stretch?

Our new printed cotton gabardine is a 100% cotton twill. It does not deform or stretch when sewn. With a weight of 300g/m2, this fabric is perfect for sewing "jeans" style pants like the new Worn pattern, but also Andrea, Ronsard, Récif, or even denim-style skirts or shorts. And of course, it's the perfect fabric for a beautiful floral Misfit Perfecto jacket.

What lining should I choose for the Deep Roses jacquard?

This jacquard features shades of green, pink, old rose, and burgundy. The Maison Fauve cupro linings in Forest, Coral, Copper, Mocha, Toffee will look beautiful paired with this fabric.

Is it mandatory to line jacquard?

Our new jacquard is rather soft, it doesn't prick or scratch, and can be worn next to the skin. In this case, you will need to serge the seam allowances well or even use bias tape to finish the seams so that it doesn't fray.

Are the printed viscose poplins opaque enough?

This fabric is opaque and does not require a lining. We have not added lining to the garments presented in these fabrics.

Do the prints have a direction? Do seams need to be matched?

The Ghost Flower print, as well as the Deep Roses jacquard, do not require pattern matching, and they do not have a "top-bottom" direction to respect.

Which spool of thread to choose for each print? Which buttons?

Each fabric's product page lists recommendations for haberdashery supplies: thread, buttons, zippers, we detail everything for you!
