The Empire State of Fauve collection lookbook is online!

Fasten your seatbelts, we're crossing the ocean to dive into the Empire State of Fauve universe lookbook !

Each new collection is a new "journey", a new story that is written for the woman I want to dress. And this time, I decided to shake up the Maison Fauve silhouette a little to give it a very urban energy, something worked, structured and that we will be able to wear all day long.

Couture inspiration

This silhouette has been in my head since last winter and I inevitably associate it with the city that for me is the object of all my "urban" inspirations: New York! When I designed the collection, I had never been there before. I let myself be carried away by images full of excess, buildings, verticality and frenetic energy.

It was with this vision that I thought about how to stage the collection shooting in Montpellier (because moving the Maison Fauve team would be great but not entirely feasible hihihi). I discussed the problem with friends who then told me about Pierresvives, an absolutely incredible Montpellier building , with crazy neo-futuristic architecture. And I would like to thank Fabien Rivière and the entire Pierresvives team for their wonderful welcome and the fantastic playground they offered us.

Then, in the spring, I had the chance to go to New York "for real"... Happiness and wonder, I didn't feel crushed but carried by this city. And if I didn't really come across a Carrie Bradshaw, I saw women walking the streets in sneakers, with a real attraction to sportswear. My stay was bathed in museums, art and I had infinite pleasure in wandering through neighborhoods that were terribly familiar to me even though I had never been there. Far from the hyper modernity that I was projecting, I discovered a city with an incredible diversity of architecture and I was able to endlessly contemplate the Art Deco buildings and the beautiful red brick buildings. I was then able to refine my thinking about the energy that I wanted to give to the photos and what Empire State of Fauve now means to me.

Empire State of Fauve: the new sewing patterns by Maison Fauve

The story I'm telling you is that of a city girl who will evolve at the fast pace of big cities. This will obviously not be to the detriment of the comfort and femininity of the clothes, quite the contrary. I wanted a wardrobe that could be worn with sneakers, a cap screwed on the head but also perched on stilettos and at the height of glamour.

Ma Femme Fauve will attack the asphalt with a determined step, in an outfit that makes you want to devour the world: a perfectly tailored blazer, pants with large volumes and a cutting work magnified by darts and pleats, a straight shirt, neither too loose nor too fitted (a jewel ultra worked by pleats all in verticality), a blouse full of character and a blouse/wrap dress duo with undeniable femininity . The couture inspiration and the desire for a very tailored look is affirmed!

The new Maison Fauve fabric collection

I really wanted to be able to 100% affirm the identity of Maison Fauve and the aesthetics of our new collection and it is with infinite joy that this season we will also offer you a complete range of fabrics (a cotton jacquard, prints and plains with exclusive patterns and colors and even a range of lining without polyester but in cupro) to sew all our models . And for the first time, we also offer you our collection of buttons !

This is the new wardrobe that will set the pace for the winter at Maison Fauve. Each piece works just as well when combined with the others as when taken separately. This new collection offers you a sewing project that can be easily integrated into your Maison Fauve wardrobe because I like the idea that any new sewing pattern should be able to be worn with clothes from past seasons. I will also make suggestions for combinations throughout the season that will allow you to play with your sewing projects.
