Empire State Of Fauve, the collection is online!

The new Empire State Of Fauve collection is based on the same wardrobe, the same universe, while giving everyone the freedom to choose their style. When I designed these clothes, I thought of them for several women but also to follow the same woman from morning until the end of the night. The Manhattan blazer , the Brooklyn pants , these two clothes do not tell the same story worn together or separately. Choosing a white tencel or a printed viscose for the Skyline shirt will radically change its style.

The work of cutting

The Maison Fauve identity is evident in the cutting details: pleats that create vertical and diagonal vanishing lines... No, no, I haven't given up on pleats yet ;)

The look remains very structured: the Manhattan blazer is shouldered and features an arrow collar that gives it character. The Brooklyn pants have an impeccable cut and a play of pleats and darts in the front and back that defines the line. The Skyline shirt is very constructed; its pleats are not superfluous, they energize the look. The Chelsea blouse with its raglan sleeves gains in comfort, but its soft line is broken by its pleats. And the beautiful Soho revisits the eternal wrap dress with unexpected cinching and belting and its cuffs with accentuated cutouts.

The style inspirations and the universe of the collection

This wardrobe leaves the field open to all desires and couture inspiration.

There is the cool attitude, which flirts with sportswear: the clothes themselves convey a dressed-up image but accessorized with sneakers and caps, the poses are nonchalant and always elegant.

I also wanted a series with very straightforward postures, of the city woman, half businesswoman, half fashionista: in a flowing dress and belted blazer, our heroine is sure of herself while the trouser suit is worn with femininity and conviction and an impeccable shirt finishes off the silhouette.

Makeup is getting more intense, hairstyles are more glamorous, dresses are adorned with jewelry, we're swapping our ankle boots for glittery sandals and the temperature is rising a notch... Here we are in the club, queens of the dance floor, ready to end the night with wild rhythms.

Managing to construct the photos that embody the different facets of this collection was once again a real team effort.

Charlène Pélut is always by my side to bring all my desires to life and bringing us together in this incredible place that is Pierresvives was very exciting. The amazingly talented and adorable team of Nicolas Astruc and Téva Quesada for makeup and hair understood what I had in mind to evolve the look of my Fauve women throughout the day and the desired atmospheres.

Obviously, my wonderful models Vanina, Amanda, and Cathy were the most beautiful muses you could find to embody this collection. And I can't forget the women behind the scenes: Julie, Marine, and Céline, who worked behind the scenes!

For this shoot, I also knew the importance of accessories to further convey my message. I contacted two magnificent brands to complete the outfits and make my fantasy New Yorker even more "alive."

I discovered the Zèta sneaker brand during a very inspiring interview in the Entreprendre dans la mode podcast . Zèta offers very beautiful sneakers and carries eco-responsible values ​​that did not leave me indifferent and when I saw how much the different colors offered matched with the colors of the fabrics in the collection I could not resist and I dared to contact Laure. The brand sent us shoes and I find that the sporty chic look is ultra accomplished with these beautiful Zèta!

As a jewelry lover, I wanted to embellish our outfits. And I had an aesthetic shock when I discovered the latest Dior Homme collection by Kim Jones and Travis Scott, where the models wear impeccable suit jackets closed with a brooch. I needed the same thing for the photos! While looking for pretty pieces, I discovered the work of the brand Christelle dit Christensen . Once again, I fell in love with the finesse and embroidery work of her jewelry and took the courage to contact the designer (a sweetheart) who sent us a multitude of wonders.

The Skyline Shirt

The verticality of the buildings is the identity of Skyline . The pleats elongate the line, shaking up the eternal white shirt. Nothing is left to chance. And because at Maison Fauve, we always want to offer you more, the pattern is available with 2 back finishes, 2 collar versions... Irresistible.

The Brooklyn pants

He has a nonchalant coolness and legs as long as the towers of the Brooklyn Bridge. Here too, vanishing lines and a straight line construction are there for a crazy look.

The Soho dress

For an effortlessly on-trend look, our new wrap dress pattern is the perfect fit. Equally at home in sneakers or high heels, the beautiful Soho dress also boasts a carefully crafted cut, with pleats that flexibly cinch the design. Available in a blouse version (always more, as we said ;)), it'll be perfect for any time of day (and night!).

The Chelsea blouse

Elegant and almost understated, the Chelsea blouse pattern is full of charming details. The pleated shoulders are softened by a raglan cut, and the bust can be finished with diagonal pleats (always a focus on lines).

The Manhattan blazer jacket

Its name says it all, all the facets of NYC: the highly structured blazer worn buttoned for a perfectly tailored look, the open blazer over a loose, chic tee without thinking twice, and the belted version for an ultra-fashionable look. The shoulders are defined, the line emphasized, the collar is the perfect size, it's up to you to wear Manhattan according to your mood.

The 5 sewing patterns in this new collection all range from sizes 34 to 52, and seam allowances are included. The collection will be available in print format only, in pouches with exclusive illustrations for this new theme, and will be available online in PDF format at the end of August 2023.
