Being plain, it will not have a direction unlike certain prints or velvet fabric for example. You can head to tail your pattern pieces to reduce your fabric consumption.

The reverse and the right side are quite easily distinguished due to the material effects in the weave, but the intensity of the color remains very beautiful on the reverse side as well. It is therefore perfect if you do not want to line your jackets, or if you are sewing large ruffles that will reveal the reverse side of the fabric.

It doesn't slip at all, pins easily, and won't present the risk of pulled threads that can be encountered on more delicate materials. The fabric frays little, but for a nice finish, plan to overlock the seam allowances or make French seams.
