Belle Épine is a charming bohemian top with a decidedly summery feel. Delicate and very feminine, it features radiating bust darts, a V-neckline at the front and back (the cut of which allows you to wear a bra), pretty tie-up straps, and a shaped and gathered ruffle. The pattern is fully lined, and the under-top is constructed with classic bust darts. An unlined version is also possible thanks to facing pieces for the neckline. A perfect companion for hot summer days, the pattern comes in several versions: with or without a ruffle, with or without lining, so you can adapt your design as you wish. This sewing pattern is very easy to sew, with beautiful finishes, in short... Irresistible!

To sew the top in our shell lace, the fabric consumption is identical, taking into account the direction of the fabric width to have the shell patterns as shown on the sewn garments

Fabric choice

Lightweight fabrics (80 to 200 g/m2) with varying degrees of drape depending on the desired effect for the ruffles. Your fabric should press well with an iron and not stretch too much: a viscose, tencel, cotton, crepe, poplin, satin, or twill. Openwork fabrics such as lace are also suitable because the pattern includes a lining.
