Description

The BELEM pattern is a pants pattern, and in the brochure and tutorial, we detail how to sew the shorts version using the guide lines on your pattern sheet.

The pattern runs true to size and has a loose fit. If you're between two sizes, choose the smaller one and prioritize the hip measurement recommendations, as the elasticated back waist allows for some flexibility outside the size chart.

Supply

Fabric for a width of 140 cm:

Pants version: 150 cm for sizes 34 to 38, 170 cm for sizes 40 to 42, 200 cm for sizes 44 to 52

Shorts version: 110 cm for sizes 34 to 38, 120 cm for sizes 40 to 42, 130 cm for sizes 44 to 52

For all sizes, add an extra 30 cm of fabric if your fabric has a direction.
Interfacing
A 20-22 cm fly zipper
2 buttons, maximum 12 mm in diameter
Elastic 3 to 3.5 cm wide, length according to grading sizes

Fabric choice

Linen, slightly thick Tencel, fine denim, viscose twill, chambray, cotton fabric, between 150 and 250 g/m2 for an ideal soft drape for the pattern

All our paper patterns are graded from 34 to 52.
For PDFs, some of the older ones stop at 46, and others go up to 56. Please remember to check the size range indicated on each pattern before purchasing.
