The Highland skirt is a long skirt with 3 ruffles. It consists of a straight skirt base to which the ruffles are attached, as well as a waistband. It closes with an invisible back zip. Since the ruffle pattern is partly on the bias, your skirt will have a lovely soft drape, giving it a sleek, less voluminous silhouette. A shorter version with 2 ruffles is also possible, requiring less fabric.

Fabric choice

A light to medium weight fabric (80 to 200 g/m2), a beautiful viscose, a light chambray, a fine cotton satin, a cotton fabric, a nice crepe, a very fine wool, or even tulle or silk. The choice of fabric will also determine the drape of your ruffles. I recommend a fabric that is easy to iron. MANDATORY: the fabric must be at least 140 cm wide.
