The SEW-ON FLOWER is a small sewing project with a wow effect! Inspired by the Maison Fauve universe, this oversized textile flower instantly brings a touch of poetry and fashion to your creations. Sewn directly onto a garment, clipped on, or transformed into a brooch, it customizes an outfit in just a few minutes and becomes a true textile jewel.

Easy and quick to make, this lovely sewing project is perfect for using up your fabric scraps while creating a refined and customizable accessory. ✨ Make several and layer them for a strong silhouette!

Sewing level: Beginner. Technical points: right sides together sewing, gathering thread, making petals, assembling on a circular base, hand finishing (optional brooch pin or snap button).

Supplies

• A fabric scrap measuring 60 x 7 cm (lightweight fabrics) or 60 x 4 cm (medium-weight fabrics), + 2 circles of 5 cm diameter

• A 5 cm diameter circle of Vlieseline G710 iron-on interfacing

• Matching thread

• A hand needle for finishing

• Optional: a brooch pin (removable accessory) or snap buttons (button illusion effect)

Fabric

Flexible and lightweight fabrics are recommended for a beautiful drape and well-defined petals: viscose poplin, Lucente jacquard, Tencel satin, lace. For a structured effect with medium-weight fabrics (reversible jacquards in particular), use a narrower strip (60 x 4 cm) with a rolled hem finish.
