A revisited tailoring look: the Manhattan jacket and the Scala polka dot shirt

For the fall, men's and women's style will be the cornerstone of the Maison Fauve wardrobe. It evokes the 1970s : fashion is becoming freer, bolder, and gendered wardrobe codes are blurring to make way for a new look.

Wearing trousers, a man's jacket or a tuxedo is a way of showing self-confidence and a certain freedom. The look never seeks to erase femininity: it reinvents it through the contrast between masculine rigor and assumed sensuality .

Manhattan, Ronsard & Scala: the trio of the new school year

The Manhattan jacket , a flagship piece from the Empire State of Fauve collection, imposes its style:

  • Marked shoulders and a bold arrow collar ,

  • A fitted line thanks to inserts that sculpt the cut,

  • High-end finishes down to the smallest detail – the jacket is fully lined and even hides a secret pocket.

This blazer can be worn open to reveal the shirt, or belted for a very fashionable look.

Underneath, the Scala shirt plays the card of lightness and Italian elegance: large signature collar, stitched pleats on the front inspired by the men's tuxedo shirt, round pleat in the back ... Details that dialogue wonderfully with the rigor of the blazer. I chose Lunares mocha , our soft and fluid polka dot viscose poplin, which adds a playful retro touch to this structured look. Its warm mocha color matches perfectly with the camel of the Manhattan jacket.

The Ronsard jeans complete the look:

  • The waist and hips are defined, and the leg is long and wide, an ultra-flattering cut that slims the silhouette.

  • It features all the signature elements of denim, for a hand-sewn garment that's more than perfect.

Why do we love this outfit?

Because it reinvents the suit for the fall : more modern, more feminine, without sacrificing elegance. The Lunares polka dots add movement and charm to the shirt's elaborate construction and balance the blazer's austerity. The jeans break up the formality of the outfit, and the light blue color brings a certain freshness.

The colors harmonize perfectly: light brown, the camel of the mini herringbone jacket and the light denim directly extend the seventies heritage. As for accessories, I opted for leather and wood platform sandals , and I could have added a thin black leather belt to match my shoes and a large brown leather tote bag .
