Our floral look inspirations!
We never get tired of floral print fabrics, they don't follow any fashion, they aren't limited to any season. But be careful, there is floral AND floral ;)
An outfit sewn in an English-style floral fabric will not have the same impact as one in mega-volume flowers. I offer you a little tour of the fabulous garden of floral patterns, from the most modest to the most baroque, including embroidery! Some images are part of our archives and I cannot therefore provide you with fabric links, but you will find in each theme a selection of fabrics by the meter and the Maison Fauve sewing patterns presented for ideas for combining fabrics and patterns.
FABRICS AS BEAUTIFUL AS PAINTINGS
It feels like an impressionist painting, the flowers are so delicate and you can guess the brushstrokes. These pretty floral patterns in the style of Monet are suited to soft colors, which a brighter touch will brighten up.
Perfect on pretty tops like the Pénélope blouse , the Nana top or the Zénith blouse .

FLOWERY ABSTRACTION
We move forward in time and leave the impressionists behind to navigate in abstraction. The flowers are less figurative, the line more unexpected. The background colors take over. I see larger pieces, like the Eclipse jumpsuit , the Niki dress or the Zenith dress , so the drawings express themselves fully.

BRIGHT COLORS… THE FLOWER BECOMES BOLD
Far from the delicate "English roses", we switch to strong colors! We adorn ourselves with fuchsia, red and more exotic flowers. On small shorts or jeans it immediately gives pep to the outfit and in a dress, it It's downright fireworks!

FLOWERS…ALL OVER
There's something playful about matching prints. It's bold, but fashion is meant to be fun, right?
There are two schools: either the total mono-fabric look, we sew a Criollo jacket andLoulou pants to revisit the costume, or we mix the prints. For my Nana top and Pénélope skirt duo it's easy, I kept the same pattern and it's the colors that change. For the Sierra blouse and Pippa shorts combination on the other hand, I pushed the cursor a little further!

TRAVEL TRAVEL
The flower from elsewhere… Fabrics with cashmere flower patterns, Indian fabrics, ethnic prints will shake up this selection. Sewing Liberty is our guilty pleasure as a seamstress, but these wonders will definitely enchant your outfits. A beautiful Tamara dress , a blouse or a Sierra dress with a devastating back neckline, these are very feminine pieces and wearing them in patterns where we can see the more artisanal touch takes the drama out of the subject a little.

A LITTLE SWEETNESS AMONG THE FLOWERS
Embroidered cottons and flowers often go together wonderfully. The beauty and freshness of English embroidery is undeniable and these are fabrics that are constantly found in fashion collections.
I have distinguished two trends again: embroidered cottons in light tones and flashier embroideries.
Sky blue or white for the first, the embroidery stands out delicately and the main fabric is often covering. And on a Nana top , a Palma top or Bélem shorts the result is delightful.

SOMETIMES THE FLOWER IS HIDDEN IN THE DETAILS
The floral reminder also has its charm. Slipped onto a casually revealed lining of an Ispahan tie-dye jacket , tied around the waist like the Nomade belt , nestled on the underside of the collar of the Sunset jacket , in the lining of a pocket… Like a secret garden.
