In the mood for Fauve, discover the lookbook of the new Maison Fauve collection
Good morning!
Each new collection is an adventure, a new story, and putting ideas and inspirations into images and “into clothes” is definitely the magical part of my job.
My inspirations for this collection were abundant and at the same time clear, a universe with a very David Lynch atmosphere, a little glamorous, very femme fatale. I'll give you the brief I gave to our magical photographer Charlène Pélut: a woman (with a Hitchcockian heroine side) breaks down on the side of the road and finds herself in a timeless motel. She's a little lost, but she discovers, she feels good in this place, and we must find this film noir atmosphere, but which ends well ;)
And Vanina, Julie, Amanda and I take turns playing this woman, self-confident and dressed up, who wanders around this motel with its many atmospheres. Welcome to the world of our IN THE MOOD FOR FAUVE collection!

This winter's wardrobe at Maison Fauve will therefore be in unison, with muses who have lent their name to embody this very cinematic golden age ;) And this season, we are also offering you the new capsule of Maison Fauve fabrics, which match perfectly with our sewing patterns.
Let me introduce you:
Fall winter 2021/2022 sewing patterns
In reference to Pam Grier, the PAM coat is a long and beautiful winter coat, a slightly boyish and ultra contemporary piece: straight shape, slightly loose and enveloping, shawl collar, elongated shoulder line, large patch pockets with flaps, and sleeves that can be rolled up to reveal the lining. It is available in 2 lengths, and know that Amanda and I are about 1m60 and happily wear the long version!
The beautiful LAUREN , in homage to Lauren Bacall, is the piece that was missing from your wardrobe! A square neckline in front and back that is perfectly positioned and that you can enhance with a sewn-in inlay cutout, a shoulder worked with gathers and a clever play of folds, a back dressed with a yoke and gathers, a beautiful buttoned cuff with strap. And the possibility of sewing either a blouse or a trapeze dress to the knee.
If there is only one skirt pattern in your pattern library, it will be this one: the KIM skirt in which Kim Novak would slip elegantly. This pattern is a gem: 2 shapes (wrap or center front buttoning), 2 lengths (midi or above the knee), 2 types of pocket finishing (patched with a strip, or with a pointed flap). Also beautiful in denim, viscose, tencel, light wool, it is definitely the skirt that we wear with everything! Supported by cutouts, its cut is impeccable and ultra flattering.
And last but not least, this season it's the return of the jumpsuit at Maison Fauve. A little rascal but with class, here is FAYE , for the most beautiful Faye Dunaway. Available as a jumpsuit or a dress, its trompe l'oeil bust and its pointed collar on a slightly deep V-neckline are the signature details of the Fauve Woman of the season.
Tencel and cotton tweed fabrics fall winter 2021/2022
The fabrics in the new collection have all been designed for this wardrobe: the beautiful Scott cotton tweed woven and dyed in France, and our new range of tencel/lyocell fabric with Drop patterns also dyed in France. The colours of the collection are navy, sand, white and black and they echo the pockets of the patterns with their exclusive design.
I'll let you discover our patterns and fabrics in more detail in the collection's lookbook, with also all the details about supplies and fabric quantities. The patterns are only available in pocket format, they all grade from 34 to 52, and a video tutorial awaits you at the release of the collection for each model, and each variation of the patterns!
