The Transat dress podcast is online!
Good morning !
Here we go for a brand new episode of the couture podcast dedicated to our new products: the Transat couture box , more details on the pattern for our pretty dress, and a detailed review of the 2 new Léo viscose jacquards and the beautiful matching buttons.
The Transat dress pattern
This pretty Transat dress has many really worked details under the apparent simplicity of its line. The desire being to make the garment accessible to beginner seamstresses, there is a right balance in the technical points. And for the more advanced seamstresses, it is always nice to have the opportunity to make a quick sewing with a beautiful wow effect!
In the video I show you all the details, and I come back to the questions you asked me on Instagram, especially about the neckline. I also show you the dress worn, and how I tie the belts.
The inspirations around this model
I had already mentioned it in the Journal article dedicated to the box , my muses are the beautiful Italian actresses of the 50s and 60s, whose passion and highly feminine allure are not embarrassed by artifice. I tell you about all this, and how I imagine that the Wild Woman recognizes herself in this timeless allure.
New fabrics
I will introduce you to our two new viscose jacquards, explain the particularities of these fabrics, and show you in more detail the pretty matching buttons in the colors Pepper Rose and Scarab Green . Our fabrics are of course sold individually, and you will have all the haberdashery supplies to sew wonders!
Between you and me
Each new launch is for me a mixture of excitement (woohoo, I can't wait for the seamstresses to discover our new gems), apprehension (ahhhhh will they like it???) and the team's attempt to reason with me (you did your best, we all worked really hard, we're ultra ready ;))… And when you show so much enthusiasm, it's really happiness and euphoria in the workshop! So thank you, thank you for being there, knowing that you are dressed in your Maison Fauve creations is a huge source of pride.
I hope you enjoy discovering this new episode!
