After describing the creative universe that accompanied this collection , I will present to you in more detail the new patterns and fabrics ;)
Let’s start with the one that is clearly your favorite, the PILAR jacket.
We absolutely wanted a denim jacket in our wardrobe, it's a timeless piece and which, depending on the choice of fabric, will accompany you on all occasions.
This pretty jacket combines everything that makes Maison Fauve's style: the dart work and the pretty back. This box pleat is the signature of the model but it can also be sewn with a very simple back under the yoke.
I didn't want an oversized jacket but I also didn't want a piece that was too short or tight. Pilar has the shoulders where they belong, a straight sleeve built in 2 parts and the belt comes to the level of the small hips for a comfortable wear that is neither too long nor too short. Tested for wearing next to the skin or with a thin sweater, it will be perfect for mid-season.
Make way for the wild feminine piece of the collection, the KIKA dress/playsuit
This model has the particularity of being constructed at the top like a bustier, with multiple cutouts and bands that border the neckline. This band work is inlaid on the bust and describes a notch to which another inlay responds by a fold on the shorts. This inlay work, delicate but really very "couture" was inspired by my visit to the exhibition on the creations of Gabrielle Chanel. If the works of Chanel and her workshop are really high-flying and reserved for very seasoned seamstresses, I thought about how to adapt this detail for our patterns. We also pay particular attention to describing these steps to you in the Kika video tutorial .
For the overall look of the model, it is a return to fully assumed femininity that I wanted to celebrate: the neckline is magnificent (but not too deep, so you can wear your garment with a bra), the bust will follow your curves (but will remain comfortable thanks to its elastic back) and the length of the shorts and the skirt are easy to adopt on a daily basis.
This Kika is a real gem!
Because a quick and very accessible project is also pure pleasure, this season we offer you the MARISA top
Not too loose, with a perfect length to be tucked into shorts, a skirt, jeans, it is easy to wear. And if we wanted it to be accessible to less experienced seamstresses, there was no question of not giving it a little something that makes it pop! A simple and chic front opening, a hollow pleat in the back that can be decorated or not with decorative buttons like a bodice, in short, it is the sewing that in 2 hours will allow you to empty your bin of coupons. And each fabric will give it a very particular look.
If there is one piece that calls for the sun, it is PAOLA
Its bust is supported, its back neckline is to die for but don't be fooled by the simplicity of its line... This pretty pattern is constructed with different panels whose proportions as well as those of the back neckline have been worked on at length for an airy, dancing look that flatters the figure. The dress version is knee-length to bring the most fluid fabrics to life and it has 2 buttoned patch pockets to dress the front.
The Paola top is the shortened version of the pattern and its line is just perfect. It will be wildly elegant on a nice pair of pants.
Now let's move on to the most elegant of all, the sublime PENELOPE.
At the Création et Savoir Faire show, many of you told us how much the wrap dress is a piece that you love to wear. So I thought about how to give this iconic piece of women's clothing some details that change and make it very, very Fauve. First, we play on the trompe l'oeil by breaking the crossover between the bust and the skirt (the latter crosses in front when the bust is buttoned). Then I added pretty sleeves, with a volume and length that do not weigh down the arm. And of course, the fold of the fold of the fold ;) Here we go for beautiful shoulders embellished with flat pleats.
The result is a feminine dress, which can be sewn in a cotton poplin with a little hold as in a very fluid fabric and above all which has a je ne sais quoi of the vamp allure of Penelope Cruz (Ahhh ahhh this explains that).
And as this pattern is designed as a small wardrobe in itself, you can also sew a very simple wrap skirt (and very well cut ;)) and we describe in the brochure how to adapt Penelope's bust to easily make a very beautiful blouse.
A collection of 5 patterns, it's a first for us but impossible to choose between the elegant Penelope, the trendy Kika, the very summery Paola, the so cute and accessible Marisa and the beautiful Pilar full of character, we kept them all for a summer wardrobe consistent with our desires.
But that's not all, this new collection also comes with 3 Maison Fauve fabrics : 2 magnificent jacquards and an essential denim fabric.

Great discovery to all and welcome to the Movida by Maison Fauve!
