An inspiring Instagram fashion show by Maison Fauve
Here's an Insta-show of 13 summer tops . Each model was chosen for its fresh, summery style and accessible level . for beginner or intermediate level seamstresses.
And since we at Maison Fauve believe that your hand-sewn creations are not just a one-season crush, but something to cherish for a long time, we're showing you not only clothes from our new collections but also lovely tops from past seasons that are still in style.
Why sew your summer tops?
Patterns for small tops often have the advantage of being relatively straightforward and offering clean cuts. They'll be quick to make, and they'll also give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with a new technique: sewing a button placket, learning how to make French seams, or discovering how to line a garment. Without getting caught up in an overly complex project, you'll learn at your own pace!
-
Total customization : sewing your own garment allows for a lot of imagination, and with patterns that require less fabric, you can indulge in a beautiful, high-quality fabric. The simplicity of the designs also pairs well with a beautiful, bold print or intricate lace, to add a unique touch to your outfit without being afraid of going overboard.
-
Pride in creating something yourself : Your summer top may be your first hand-sewn garment! This type of pattern has few pieces, and we have some very easy-to-sew models in our selection. Why not take advantage of having a little time to yourself this summer and take the plunge into hand-sewing... We promise you won't regret it!
Maison Fauve patterns come with detailed, illustrated step-by-step instructions; pattern pieces do not overlap on the pattern sheet, and seam allowances are included. Our patterns include a free step-by-step sewing video (you can watch the video before purchasing the pattern to better understand the assembly steps).
