Brunette Power!!!

Hello! Autumn is here, we can't hide it anymore...but that's no reason to let your wardrobe hibernate! Yes yes I know, I'm a spoiled child who lives in the south, and despite the first frosts I have sun all year round ;) But with a nice coat and suitable accessories, I suggest some outfits that will be perfect, and to show you that I put good will into it, it was under a fine Parisian rain that I took these photos! My visit to the CSF was the perfect opportunity for this impromptu shooting, back in the very beautiful district of Saint Germain where the photos of the SEW ME ARTY collection were taken. And it is also with pleasure that I invited the jewelry of my friend from La boutique de Louise , an adorable concept store located on rue du dragon in Saint Germain: ring , earrings ,necklaces , bracelet, ... I love it! And it is with a selection of fabrics in the colors of the season that I sewed my models...a brunette in Atelier Brunette to present to you the superb fabrics of the new collection. And it is with joy that I went to select the pretty buttons that would embellish my sewing (they have a whole range of magnificent buttons, in an extremely wide color palette). And notice to all Parisians, you can find at the new and sublime Atelier Brunette boutique the Maison fauve patterns! Atelier Brunette offers this season a palette of warm and deep tones, on fabrics with delicate material effects. I chose among the new products 3 very different fabrics:
Night crepe for a Niki blouse
the Night crepe , a beautiful crepe with a bright, shimmering black color (hum hum yes I assure you it is not a "dull" black). Its drape is perfect for the Niki blouse , in a very refined version, with the fold highlighted at the bottom of the sleeves by pretty Gem buttons also from Atelier Brunette . Worn with black high boots and jeans, for a street fighter look, I really enjoy putting on this blouse. For me, who tends to favor prints, it's a very pleasant little break (and I could wear my Niki with lots of colorful pants ;) )!
The Dobby Chestnut for a Sybil
the Dobby Chesnut fabric , a faux plain highlighted by a delicate plumetis work which gives the fabric very beautiful material effects. These hazelnut tones go well with gold details...and here is a wonderful Sybil , with these cutouts highlighted with a cut gold bias. The fabric is light so you should not skip the interfacing of the necklines so that it does not deform. And these are the Jewel Chesnut Atelier Brunette buttons which decorate the very particular neckline of my beautiful Sybil.
The Posie Smokey for Niki in dress version
the Posie Smokey fabric , one of the flagship patterns from Atelier Brunette on a textured background. The grey-green carbon of the background brings out the powder pink and rust tones perfectly. It is on the Niki skater dress that I set my sights to sew this fabric. This fabric has hold, it is perfect for emphasizing the fold of the sleeves, while keeping the dance of the skirt. The bottom of the sleeves is closed with the Quartz buttons in Forest color .
The Ray wool coat
And here's a newcomer who's warming me up for these photos: the Ray coat in camel wool from Pretty mercerie , with the collar reverse in burgundy velvet...like a desire to play the petty officer for this new coat ;) I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all those who came to meet us at the CSF, it was once again a wonderful edition (and my non-sewing acolytes from the show Julie and Anne Laure had a great time talking with you about our little, slightly obscure world of sewing... you are all so enthusiastic and overflowing with passion for your sewing... it's good, they're going to get hooked!!!). A very big thank you also to Atelier Brunette who presented these models so beautifully on their stand (hence Niki's raid on the Maison Fauve stand!). And of course a huge kiss to Zoé, my close CSF companion Eglantine and Zoé for 3 years now. One last bit of information, if you want to be spoiled or offer a nice gift from Maison Fauve, I now offer gift cards with a nice visual to download for a little pleasure to sew... See you soon for a special New Year's Eve outfit article (there's going to be some great dresses for the holidays ;) )!
