Loulou d'amour, the video tutorial!
Good morning!
Back with a sewing tutorial that you have been asking me for a long time: the step-by-step guide to the pretty Loulou pants !
The Loulou pants are a model that has pretty details: the Italian pocket in front that describes an angle and can be enhanced with piping, the fake piped pocket in the back. The other technical points are the installation of the belt and the invisible zip. I describe all these steps in a video so that Loulou is no longer a secret for you ;)
This is not a very complicated model to sew, and it will be an opportunity to describe new sewing techniques that you can apply to all your projects. And for the bottom of the pants, I suggest a finish with a turn-up, perfect when you want to wear your cigarette pants on fire on the floor ;)
Loulou is sewn in a kind of gabardine with a bit of elasticity and flocked velvet (it comes from a small haberdashery near the workshop, I can't give you the link to the fabric). I wear it with my pretty Lisa bodysuit from Make my lemonade , slightly retro GH BASS moccasins in two tones , and my pretty Cala hoop earrings from Ilabella . A total black look but the raised patterns and the pocket highlighted by Loulou's faux leather piping and the pretty cut of the bodysuit really give it a look. I like wearing flats more and more, sandals in summer and moccasins, or ballet flats in winter to show off my ankle (although not very big, I think the bare ankle lengthens the leg a bit).
I wish you a lovely sewing time with Loulou!
