The haberdashery dedicated to the sewn flower
To sew your flower, you need:
-
60x7cm of fabric for the flower and 2 circles with a 5 cm diameter. Also plan for a 5 cm diameter circle of fusible interfacing.
-
Choose a thin and supple fabric such as viscose poplin, Lucente jacquard, Tencel satin, or lace.
-
If you wish to use thicker and firmer fabrics, particularly medium-weight jacquards, which are equally beautiful on both sides, the strip will be 60x4 cm in this case as it will not be folded, and the edge will be overlocked with a rolled hem stitch.
To accompany this project, we have selected haberdashery specifically designed for the sewn flower.
You will find:
-
brooch pins, perfect for transforming your sewn flower into a removable accessory
-
snap fasteners, ideal for replacing classic buttons and imagining your flowers as "trompe l'œil" buttons
This haberdashery allows you to wear the sewn flower in different ways. And you can go further by attaching it to a hair clip, an elastic band… Let yourself be inspired!
