The Ray Coat Video Tutorial

Hello !!!

Here it is finally, the video step by step of the RAY coat ... I know I made you wait, but now welcome to the wonderful world of the piped pocket with flap, the lining with the shiny detail, and the perfect collar points ;)

For this version, I chose a pretty wool fabric with small squares from Pretty Mercerie (ok, my matches aren't perfectly perfect...) and a viscose lining with a cashmere flower print that fits in with the oriental and Slavic theme of the new collection.

I wear my coat with my HUSSARD jeans , a pair of loafers, my beautiful MAIA blouse in Meet Milk diamond tencel (reminder of piping with the inside of the coat...the play of pretty hand-sewn finishes!).

My earrings and my jeweled belt come from Sézane (I get my revenge on the accessories at their place hihihi).

You will notice that the blouse tucked into the jeans creates an interesting face-off between the pleats of the trouser pocket and the pleats of the blouse's bust. This was not premeditated, and it's the kind of surprise that makes me happy!

I hope that the tutorial will provide you with all the necessary information, we took the time to really focus on the most technical elements, but also to describe techniques that will be useful for all your sewing! And you will see that Ray is not so difficult, you should not hesitate to practice on scraps, especially for the pocket, but the result is worth it!

The pattern is available in pocket format and grades from 34 to 56 with armholes and shoulders carefully designed for larger sizes.

Good tutorial to all!
