Suzie berlingot party!
Hello! In Montpellier, the start of the school year is not synonymous with grayness. The days are beautiful and the outfits remain light, like this new Suzie skirt. The advantage of this pattern is that it can be sewn in viscose as well as in heavier fabrics for fall. But as I said, the weather is nice where I live... so I have set my sights on this beautiful printed viscose twill from Eglantine et Zoé . The colors of this fabric are the ones I prefer at the moment (terracotta passion) and if I wear it with a black silk camisole, I can already imagine wearing it with a pretty, slightly frothy ecru sweater or a cardigan (and boots... ok, I'm more or less in the mood for the fall wardrobe!). The skirt is a pleated skirt on the front, with a slightly high waistline highlighted with small decorative straps. I'm wearing it mid-length here, but you can also make a short version. This type of pleated skirt is completely in line with the neo-bourgeois trend highlighted by Hedi Slimane for CELINE. Easier to wear than a culotte skirt, I can already see myself in a small-checked printed model for this fall. Its small details make it much less classic than a simple pleated skirt, and a very light wool will also be very beautiful. And then I'm not going to deprive myself of bringing out the suede version that I sewed last winter! I'm also dying to be able to present the new models from the fall/winter collection, I think I'm going to get my revenge by starting my "winter" sewing projects using the patterns already available at Maison Fauve. Seeing the fabric collections arriving at the haberdasheries already makes the winter wardrobe very desirable, even though it's 30 degrees and I'm only wearing light dresses and sandals :) I imagine I'm not the only one: eyeing up light pieces from February and impatiently waiting for the temperatures to drop so I can get my jackets out again from September...you can't change! See you soon!
