Sew me the Sun
Hello! The
Sew me the Sun collection should have been presented at the very beginning of April...well that won't be the case. I don't have the possibility to organize the shooting as I would have liked at the moment, the printing of the covers has been delayed, and I don't really have any visibility on the possibility of shipping the packages. But, I see the possibility of being able to move forward on the
model assembly tutorials , think about how to present to you everything that inspired me for the new patterns, and make this "ray of sunshine" collection a real party!
So while you wait, let me tell you a little more about the collection...
For several seasons, I have been trying to offer each collection a complete wardrobe, and patterns with multiple options.
Sew me the Sun is literally a collection to accompany you from sunrise to sunset. And the sun itself is integrated as an element of inspiration for the models, with its rays that unfold. The collection includes 3 patterns:
a Zenith dress and blouse duo, an Eclipse playsuit and dress duo, and the Sunset jacket . And when I say duo, believe me I did not make fun of you, because Zenith and Eclipse include 2 real patterns in one, with in addition multiple finishing options (sleeve lengths, presence or absence of lapels with a dedicated pattern...). The Sunset jacket will also be a real gem, not being able to choose between different possibilities for my new ideal jacket, I decided to offer them all to you... a real party I tell you this collection!
It's too early to show you more about the patterns (although those who follow me on Instagram have been able to see little bits of Zenith ;) ), but with the Maison fauve team we have prepared some mood boards for you:
for each pattern you will have
a moodboard version belle de jour , and
a moodboard version oiseau de nuit . I still have surprises about the models, but these little snapshots reflect what guided me during their development, and the imagination behind Sew me the Sun. I present to you the tones, the inspiring "muses", the visual universes of photographers and artists whose work I admire. They form the essence of this collection, something joyful, bright, but also darker and more sophisticated... shadow and light! And I admit it also the beach in its most fantasized: vintage version of Miami, retro bathing cabins, images of sublime seaside fashion by Louise Dahl-Wolf, seashells, a bit of lamé for summer evenings... follow me!
ZENITH:
beautiful day version , Zenith is an elegant blouse or dress, with a cutting work that gives it a fluid, very supple fall. And pretty folds, like a little sun to wear against you.
night bird version : if you go for more sophisticated fabrics, with shine (lurex power!!!) or transparency, you will have the most beautiful dress and a crazy look!
ECLIPSE:
beautiful day version, a little joyful playsuit, with an attention to detail that I can't wait to reveal to you...but also a pretty dress a little retro, a little Romy, to take off for a perfect sunbath in the coves.
night bird version a fabric with a little more hold, a striking color, the desire for a little trip while being chic but comfortable, it's the ideal pattern!
SUNSET
beautiful day version halfway between a teddy and a small chic jacket, with finishing possibilities for a more street or more dressed look, the beautiful Sunset will be the "beautiful piece" of the collection. In floral fabric, freshness guaranteed.
night bird version we turn up its collar, we adorn its jacket with a sublime jacquard, and Sunset will be perfect to cover your shoulders during long nights or early mornings.
