The Fauve Bride, the exclusive L'Aiguille du Lac x Maison Fauve collection

There are sometimes stories that are woven with velvet paws, gently, and by taking the time to do things well…. It is from a story like this that this magnificent project was born, and I am extremely proud to present to you today the magnificent capsule collection "La Mariée Fauve".

When Delphine Letellier, from the beautiful wedding dress brand l'Aiguille du Lac contacted me almost 2 years ago, it was to discuss the possibility of working together on a civil wedding wardrobe based on Maison Fauve patterns. I was very happy and touched, because Delphine's work for her brand is really beautiful and modern, that she invited me to join her in this lovely project.

There were a lot of unforeseen events, including covid... And that impacted the project and postponed this partnership a little. But Delphine came back to me several times, to talk to me about her desires for materials, the combinations of models to create each outfit.

She had thought about the choice of patterns before contacting me, being a customer of Maison Fauve, and I felt that she had a real vision of what she wanted for this capsule. Because it was Delphine who sourced the noble materials (silk mikado, Calais lace, silk satin, tweed, organza etc.) and seeing the work done for her own collection of wedding dresses, I trusted her completely.

The way Delphine communicates around her brand, her great professionalism (both on the clothes made and on the shootings which show them off so well), all this convinced me that L'Aiguille du Lac was the ideal partner for a first collaboration for Maison Fauve (and between us, I was super proud that she thought of me :) ).

Finally there was this magnificent shooting with the photographer Marine du Sordet , and there, big BIG EMOTION!

The models are sublime, the outfits incredible, and rediscovering my patterns through these magnificent fabrics and Delphine's goldsmith work is already a magnificent gift! Presenting a selection of my patterns with "ceremony" materials had been on my mind for a long time, but it is a major undertaking if you really want to create a shooting universe that embodies the wedding. And that is clearly Delphine's specialty!

And this is once again an opportunity to remind you that a sewing pattern allows you to create a multitude of outfits, depending on the choice of fabrics, from the most everyday to the most sophisticated.

The soft Violette blouse , the beautiful Dahlia blouse with Victorian collar, the Swallow blouse with its little broken collar, the feminine Tamara wrap dress or the mischievous Blush camisole are revisited for my greatest pleasure in these guipure, lace, satin and organza. And what about my poum poum shorts Pippa and the Highland skirt , which is spectacular (and which remains my little crush forever as I was able to work its volume, its ruffles…).

Seeing the beautiful Ispahan jacket and the Belem pants in this immaculate tweed gives me some great ideas ;) And the Sable jacket in silk mikado has the air of a precious kimono.

The development of this collection "La Mariée Fauve" having started a little while ago, the latest Maison Fauve patterns are not represented in this already very rich and elaborate proposal. But I plan to concoct a special ceremony "Patterns + Fabrics" review (whether you are the bride, or the best friend dressed to the nines hihihi ;) ).

In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful discovery around the work of L'Aiguille du Lac and this capsule La Mariée Fauve. To buy the clothes sewn by Delphine in these beautiful fabrics, go to her website here . And if you want to discover (or rediscover hey hey) the sewing patterns used on the occasion of this collaboration, it's here !

And we'll meet you with Delphine on Thursday, April 28 to discuss this collaboration during a Live on Instagram :)

Sweet day!
