The new bosses of the sports capsule
The Adele hoodie
Adèle is the sweatshirt we dream of curling up in. Its slightly loose fit is relaxed but stylish, and the pattern is full of signature details: a pretty "thumb loop" cuff to keep your hands warm, a large, ultra-comfortable hood, and a beautiful cutout in the back (which features the season's signature swallow profile).
As comfortable worn alone as it is layered with a shirt or polo shirt, its neckline is open and flares out even more thanks to its button placket. Its neat finishes and soft drape make it a must-have for any sporty chic wardrobe.
Sasha jogging pants
Sasha is the jogging pants we've been waiting for: a straight, comfortable cut, with a tailored fit that flatters the buttocks thanks to its raised back. The elasticated waistband is unique in that it's an extension of the pants and not an added piece: no more unsightly layers!
Sasha can be worn with the bottom slightly tightened with a ribbed edge, or simply finished with a hem. We play up the sporty look with the patch pockets with flaps reminiscent of cargo pants. It pairs naturally with the Adèle hoodie or the Ressac sweatshirt, but can also be worn with a shirt, polo shirt, or light coat for a city look. Sporty, yes, but always elegant.
The new capsule fabrics
The sports capsule collection features cozy, durable materials, ideal for fall: fleece sweatshirts, bright stripes, and a playful mix of deep colors. The fabrics interact with each other to create dynamic and refined combinations.
The new French Terry sweatshirt fabrics and matching ribbing
The French Terry sweatshirt knit is back, adorned with Maison Fauve's signature winter colors: an incredible plum and a luminous Tango red. They complement the existing color offerings, creating a bold, creative take on sportswear. We also offer ribbed trims to match these fabrics—no false notes possible!
100% cotton fleece sweatshirts
We offer two new 100% cotton fleece jersey fabrics, lighter than French Terry. These fabrics are very soft and comfortable to wear. The light heather gray is the lightest, very bright, and will be perfect for sports-inspired outfits as well as for comfortable sewing to wear at home.
-
Light heathered light gray
-
Deep black and timeless navy blue: these two fleeces have a little more staying power. They're perfect for sewing a timeless sports wardrobe.
Varsity viscose lurex jacquards
They are the breath of fresh air from the NOMADE capsule: our new striped viscose jacquards are soft, very supple and easy to sew.
Their little extra: the fine lurex stripe which makes the material more vibrant and elegant.
Inspired by Ivy League student locker rooms, we offer a wardrobe that combines the academic elegance of a striped shirt or polo with the casual ease of fleece bottoms or a soft knit sweatshirt, all slipped under a shouldered blazer jacket...
They are available in 3 bright and timeless colors:
-
Cobalt blue
-
Amazon Green
-
Lemonade Yellow
A beautiful, faux-androgynous stripe inspired by men's clothing to recreate the timeless preppy shirt with a light touch. Our VARSITY fabrics will be available online starting October 23.

FAQ – Nomad Capsule
About the new bosses
Are the new patterns available in PDF?
All our new patterns are available in envelope format only, with a detailed booklet and video tutorial included. PDF versions will be available online at a later date. Watch this video to see how we work with PDF format.
Can I turn the ADELE sweatshirt into a vest?
The ADELE hoodie pattern includes a button placket and therefore a crossover on the "top front" piece. You can use this piece as a guide to transform your pattern. However, you will need to decide for yourself whether to make a full button placket or even install a center front zip, and manage the (numerous) thicknesses that the kangaroo pocket will generate unless you also adapt the piece.
Can I sew the ADELE sweatshirt without the kangaroo pocket?
The kangaroo pocket is an optional element, you can sew the pattern according to the assembly range described in the brochure/video tutorial by skipping this step.
Can I sew the ADELE sweatshirt without the hood?
The sweatshirt's neckline is wide and offers ample room for the neck. It's designed to comfortably accommodate the hood. Removing the hood is possible, but I can't promise that the neckline will be as pretty as on a classic sweatshirt like the Ressac pattern. Likewise, the neckline isn't designed to accommodate a ribbed finish.
Can I use snap fasteners instead of buttons on the ADÈLE sweatshirt?
Yes, that's no problem. Use the buttonhole/button placement instructions provided in the pattern to help you position the snaps.
Can the new patterns be sewn in warp and weft?
The Adele sweatshirt and Sasha jogging pants patterns are created for knit fabrics, they do not have the construction or ease required for woven fabrics, and have not been tested for this type of fabric.
Can I sew the ADÈLE sweatshirt with a classic cuff rather than a thumbhole?
You can actually skip the sewing steps described and simply close the ribbed cuff piece by folding it edge to edge, as described for example in the step-by-step guide to the Ressac sweatshirt. You will get a classic cuff. It will still be necessary to make it with ribbing.
Do I have to put bias binding on the neckline of the ADELE sweatshirt? Can I use a store-bought bias binding or do I have to make it myself?
You can indeed use a commercial bias binding, as long as it is made of fine cotton. We give you the dimensions of the bias strip in the brochure as well as in the supplies on the pattern product sheet. The purpose of the bias binding is to neatly finish the neckline by hiding the "sweatshirt/hoodie" seam allowances. This is why we chose to use a cotton voile that matches our fabric (available on our website). A simple overlock is also possible.
Can I sew the SASHA pants without the patch pockets?
Patch pockets are an optional element, you can sew the pattern according to the assembly range described in the brochure/video tutorial by skipping this step.
Is it mandatory to use ribbing?
You can sew the Sasha jogging pants without ribbing the bottom of the legs. For the Adele sweatshirt, it's essential to use ribbing for the waistband and cuffs. If you don't want to do this, you'll need to rework the dimensions of these pattern pieces based on your fabric choice.
Can the patterns be easily lengthened/shortened?
The patterns include shorten/lengthen guide lines to help you adjust the patterns to your height. If necessary, also consult our free guide to custom sewing, which will help you adjust the patterns.
Is it mandatory to have an overlocker to sew the new patterns?
To sew these patterns, we recommend using an overlocker with a 4-thread overlock stitch ; sewing will be faster with impeccable finishes and a "more durable" garment, which will not risk being damaged quickly over washing. But the assembly can also be done on a sewing machine with the special jersey elastic stitch on your machine and a suitable needle.
Furthermore, some seams will be done by machine, everything is specified in the brochure provided with your pattern as well as in the dedicated video tutorial.
NB: Seam allowances are included and are 1 cm , you will need to take this into account when assembling your garment with the overlocker.
About the new fabrics
Can we sew the ADELE sweatshirt or the jogging pants? SASHA in fabrics other than Maison Fauve fabrics?
Of course! Check the fabric specifications on the product sheets to make sure your fabric will be the same weight and stretch. We've sewn the patterns in both our fairly heavyweight French Terry knit fabrics and our lightweight, heathered light gray fleece fabric, so you have a pretty wide range of fabric specifications.
Why is the Nomade capsule fabric launch split into two parts? When will the VARSITY stripes be available?
Unfortunately, we are experiencing unforeseen circumstances, such as production delays. It seemed a shame not to present these pretty stripes to you now, which are part of the DNA of this "Athleisure"-inspired collection. The VARSITY stripes will be available online from October 23, We will then show you new outfits that combine our stripes with other Maison Fauve models, for an irresistible sporty/chic dress!
Don't hesitate to sign up for the stock alert on the fabric's product sheet to be immediately informed of its arrival.
Are all the sweatshirt fabrics in the capsule the same?
No, we offer different knits, each with a specific weight and elasticity. This information is available on each product sheet. Fabrics that are identical, and therefore only vary in color, are grouped together on the same product sheet, so you can't go wrong. We've used each fabric to sew our new patterns without any problems.
All new sweatshirt fabrics have matching ribbing?
Almost all of them. Only the heather gray lightweight fleece fabric doesn't have a specially assigned ribbed edge. We used our Parma Gray ribbed fabric to finish the Adèle sweatshirt in the gray fleece. The color isn't exactly identical, but the combination is quite successful.
And can we use the new fabrics for the previous patterns (Ressac or Granite sweatshirt)?
Yes, no problem. Our fabrics are suitable for many sewing patterns that use this type of material (medium-weight sweatshirt-fleece-French terry-jersey).
What patterns do you recommend sewing with VARSITY striped fabrics?
This is a fine, flowing, very supple and soft viscose jacquard fabric. It is suitable for sewing blouses, shirts, tops, and dresses provided you plan to use a slip. We present this fabric with the patterns for the Déferlante blouse, the Malibu polo shirt, and the Scala shirt. It is also possible to sew a pretty Soupir Pyjama or a Songe Blush duo.
But I do not recommend pants like Brooklyn, Andrea or Hussard, the fabric is absolutely not suitable.
Can I combine VARSITY viscose jacquards with the Nomade capsule patterns?
No, these are not knitted fabrics but warp and weft fabrics, they are not recommended for sewing a sweatshirt or jogging pants.
Are VARSITY striped fabrics transparent?
Varsity viscose jacquards have enough opacity for sewing tops. We didn't line any of the garments sewn in these fabrics. However, since this is a dress, the fabric is lightweight, so it's best to use a slip like our Blush pattern.
