Derek the tutorial!
Hello!
If you've been following me for a long time, you know that until very recently I was a dentist. And over 2 years ago, I created the pattern for the Derek scrub cap, somewhat as a nod to my profession. A small scrub cap pattern that I first created for myself, to protect myself at work, and which I thought it would be fun to offer on the Maison Fauve website. The current health situation, and the very strong demand for all protective equipment, has meant that my little, somewhat insignificant scrub cap is now an item designed to protect oneself or one's loved ones. And I receive many requests from people who want to sew it for themselves, their loved ones, or healthcare teams. But sewing isn't always accessible if you're not used to it. And I find it really a shame that everyone who downloads Derek encounters difficulties. So I made a video sewing tutorial for my little scrub cap, taking the time to detail all the steps, right from assembling your PDF pattern. Because this is no longer "frivolous" sewing (be careful, a beautiful dress or a small blouse will never be frivolous to me, but you understand what I mean, don't you? ;)), and I really want this small pattern to be useful to everyone! EDIT: I receive many messages asking me to send you the pattern, but DEREK is a free PDF pattern that you order from the website (click HERE to go to its product page) and you will receive the download links for the pattern and its instructions in your order confirmation ;)
