Creative meetings by Maison fauve
When it was announced that health conditions would not allow me to participate in public events, I had to face the facts: the Création Savoir Faire show would not be held this year. And this would have several consequences for me and Maison Fauve. There are obviously the economic repercussions because the show is an event during which visitors go to prepare Christmas gifts, to treat themselves with the designers they appreciate. And for me the CSF is also an opportunity to make my brand known and to exchange with you, explain my work. And finally, it is a meeting with other designers, our little moment to meet, discuss and exchange about our profession.
Creation is a story of the heart, like an overflowing inspiration that must be expressed, shared. But it is also a process that can be a little lonely. So I thought about how to recreate these discussions, because part of the magic of the CSF is to go and discover other universes: it is exciting, inspiring and it opens perspectives on one's own activity.
And social networks made my idea very easy to implement: to organize Live meetings with creators on Instagram. It's easy to set up thanks to the Instagram tool, no need to travel in this complicated context and the possibility of keeping the video of the exchanges allows people who are not available to follow the discussions live to find these meetings whenever they want. I contacted creators to see if the adventure tempted them, some are friends, others creators that I had met at previous shows and I also proposed the adventure to people that I did not know personally but whose IG accounts I liked to follow because I really admired their work. And what a joy, all said yes! In preparing these meetings, my second surprise was that all these creators and I had in addition to the passion for our profession a second thing in common, it was for us a whole professional reconversion.
I was fortunate to receive:
Marguerite, creator of ILABELLA semi-precious jewelry
Marguerite is a friend, I know her brand of pretty bohemian and poetic jewelry well, being a fan myself from the very beginning. I saw Ilabella grow up and despite everything, I discovered things that I didn't know about the history and the journey of my friend to achieve her pretty project.
Laetitia DALBIES , designer and author who creates crochet and punch needle objects
I knew Laetitia a little because I had met her at a mutual friend's house and the discussion started in an obvious way, between two creators in the DIY universe we had things to tell each other ;) But this discussion taught me a lot of things about Laetitia's career and everything that inspires her work.
Anne Lise from MAISON PAILLE , an artist who expresses herself through straw marquetry creations
I didn't know Anne Lise at all but I had discovered her work on IG and I had a real crush on her work. I was really curious to better understand her profession and all the know-how around this absolutely fascinating art craft.
Maÿlis the creator of BRITNEY POMPADOUR who offers kits and a very pretty embroidery book
Maÿlis is one of the lovely people I met during the CSF, she is adorable, super funny and I love her offbeat approach to embroidery, ultra fun and accessible.
Estelle, creator of jewelry and boxes for SENTIMENTS BIJOUX
Estelle is also a friend, she was introduced to me by a close friend when I was hesitant to throw myself 100% into entrepreneurship with Maison Fauve. I was very happy to invite her because the work around her jewelry brand is very interesting, with a very personal and ultra well thought out approach.
Adelaide, creator of VANITY BOUM lighting fixtures
My other big crush, I discovered these sublime lights about 3 years ago and I have been passionately following the adventures of Vanity Boum since then, which is a real inspiration to me both in the images and in the development of the brand and products. And I was so happy that she participated: as a good fan, I was super excited by this meeting and I was not disappointed because we can feel the strong passion that drives Adélaïde and how much she cherishes her brand and its products.
I loved these moments of exchanges, sharing experiences and especially understanding better the universe and inspirations of each of these creators. If you haven't done so yet, go to my IG account in the IGTV section (I'll put the link HERE) to discover these talented creators! Each interview lasts about 1 hour and we discuss everything from their professional careers to what defines their brands and their universes.
The launch pace has been very intense and I can't continue these creative meetings at this pace. But I would very much like to give you regular appointments, perhaps once or twice a month, to continue discovering creators whose world I really like.
See you soon for other inspiring meetings!
